Transforming downtown Spartanburg into a live music destination

Summertime has us reminiscing on the live music events we’ve enjoyed, and the ones we’ve branded. Launch Something supports all things Spartanburg, and we understand the vibrant energy and positive impact live music can bring to a community.

Our president, Sims Bouwmeester, joined a small group of Spartanburg residents and music lovers to establish Live on the Green LLC, a South Carolina nonprofit dedicated to increasing community vibrancy and economic development in Spartanburg through the use of live music events. Proceeds from all Live on the Green concerts are directed to the Live on the Green Fund, a component fund of The Spartanburg County Foundation established to increase community vibrancy and economic development in Spartanburg through the use of live music events.

Our team answered the call by branding and marketing the premiere concert event Live on the Green. Over the years, the event has connected music lovers with renowned artists like legendary pianist Bruce Hornsby, country rocker Lee Brice, and Charleston-based Americana band Blue Dogs.

A live music legacy

We embraced the potential of our city’s live music scene by branding a music event meant to continue for years to come. Set against the backdrops of some of Spartanburg’s most beautiful performance spaces, Live on the Green welcomed crowd favorites and set the stage for the future of live music in Spartanburg.

In addition to designing Live on the Green’s brand identity and supporting print, outdoor, and digital marketing, we used our social media strategy and media relations expertise to advertise sponsorship and ticket sales for the annual concert event.

Recreating the experience

When it comes to music, nothing beats that in-person feeling. To help capture the experience virtually, we made a promotional video that recreates the energy and excitement of attending Live on the Green – from the anticipation of arrival to grabbing a cold drink and turning up for a few fun-filled hours.
